Vintage Books - Sewing for Men and Boys

Sometimes old things are ridiculous.
Sometimes old things are fabulous.
This vintage book from the seventies is both.
I like the idea of boys learning how to tie a tie properly.
Even if the expressions in the pages are a little much.

Some Menswear Please!

Gloomy Spring days make me crave specific forms of dress.
I want crisp tailored shirts, wool slacks (my husband hates it when I use that word), oversized sweaters (for layering!), trench coats and maybe even a really great umbrella. One of my girl friends has a nice umbrella with a strong body and pinstriped material. It's pretty gorgeous. I don't know why I get that inkling... I get it in the fall too... I guess I really just like menswear. I know that everyone always refers to it, but sometimes I just wished I could dress like Annie Hall for all the days of my life.
