Inspired Writing

I sent out a beautiful little postcard earlier this week.
It was a thank-you to one of my most favourite ladies, who had treated me to a superbly delicious lunch this past weekend.
And then I went home to spot Kerry's lovely autumn portrait.
I'm always surprised when I see things connect like that.

Sending Out Some Humour

I found this hilarious postcard at Courage My Love.
I sent it to my sister-in-law.
She will give it the appreciation it deserves.

Penguin Post

Books and mail.
Together in design harmony.
I'm about to sit down and write out a letter (long overdue) after I send a few quick emails (somewhat overdue) and then it's outside for some supply-purchases. It's a lovely and bright Saturday but I think the sun coming into the kitchen is deceptive. My widget tells me it's only three degrees celsius out there which does not make me very happy. Fall has been rather chilly lately and I'm dreading the start of winter. I love this city but I wish we could bypass Janurary/February somehow... any ideas?

I Heart HearBlack

I am a sucker for paper goods.
Throw in some type and hand-made elements, and I basically want to hand over my coin purse.
I found this wonderful work on HearBlack blog. It's run by an adorable blonde, tanned couple living in paradise. No, seriously, they live in Hawaii. They won my heart when they described how fun it is to send packages to friends or to strangers!

I agree! With all my heart!

Lady Mail.

I advocate giving good friends good nicknames.
I also advocate sending them mail.

Glamour Mail

Love these paper gems from Japanese stationery company, D-Bros.
What a wonderful way to surprise someone special...

Found on Escapade, one of my favourite blogs!

Postage Envy

I am always left wanting more when I buy stamps... save a floral and nature design, I will be so bold as to say that Canadian postage stamps lack a certain flare. This stamp, however, is pretty freaking great. Maybe if stamps here were nicer, more people would send mail. We've got to start somewhere!

Found here and here.

Mailing Out Some Sweetness

My father recently lost an uncle of his. He sent me the news in an email which fits, because as my father gets older, his enjoyment of the internet and You-Tube crazes preoccupies a lot of his time. I decided to send him something to brighten his day. As a kid I loved the book, Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes,  and began making cranes of all sizes, for hours, in my dad's workroom. So I bought some nice paper, made him one and will be posting it to him shortly. Here's the photographic evidence..

Thomas investigating the project.

Thomas approving the end product.
I found this teeny tiny envelope to put it in!

It's ready to go!
