Polished Charm

It has been a bit of a crazy week. I always think to myself that our lives are pretty typical and that we don't do much of anything but I have to come to terms that we tend to be busy more often than not. Scheduling meeting with friends is like negotiating a peace treaty. Lots of back and forth. Laundry days get lost in the shuffle. The husband has been sick all week. Slowly getting worse before he gets better. I've been trying to keep at the crafts and do some reading... but it's all very tiring!
On a calmer note, here are some beautifully finished pieces from Herriott Grace.

Spotted here.

Happy Things

We had a very full weekend.
It has been non-stop crazy lately but it's been filled with music, friends, family and art.
Not too bad at all.
Our biggest surprise was the addition of a second nephew to our little family.
He happened to come on the Saturday morning, the day of my workshop at Bookhou (run through The Paper Place) and I made him this letterpress veneer memento of his very first birthday.
I really love the type and the look of the navy on the wood but we really love that baby!

Cute Couples

These little guys  from Lace and Rubbish make me very happy. They are beautifully crafted, quirky and clever. What a treat for a wedding cake!

Found them on Brooklyn Bride.

Sweet Little Life

Some beautiful objects from the shop, Neëst. They collect wonderfully crafted things from Japan to the Netherlands. The whole collection is streamlined, natural and refreshing.

My favorites are the duck brush, the toy wood food
and the kitty of course!
