Fall Fashion: Hound Design

 The temperature definitely dropped this week. Actually, it felt like it dropped all in one go yesterday. I was out and about running a few different errands and I started feeling like I could not wear enough layers. Even on the sunny side of the street!
The model in the above campaign for Hound is certainly not wearing anywhere near what's necessary now but don't you wish that this is how all of our fall days looked? I could get used to the simple cuts and the subtle use of colour. But I don't think I could get used to shivering in the park. Another post for the inspiration board, I guess. At least until March or something.

Wish Lust: Gabriela Artigas

If I could, I would collect them all.
I'm loving the look of this series by designer Gabriela Artigas.
I've been wanting dainty little bands for some time now and I think the execution and the styling here is pretty awesome.

Feminine Things

It's always interesting to me, how small details can change a whole picture.
I changed the sheets (but not the duvet cover) and switch the lime green pillow that used to be on the bed, for the lilac one that was on a chair in the living room and all of sudden the bed looks so much softer and more feminine than I expected.


It's been a nice change, especially since I spent a good portion of the weekend in bed, watching old tv episodes and reading blogs. Oh and I had some company.

Lovely Afternoon

Had a wonderful afternoon with my best friend.
We chatted. We laughed. Talked about getting older. Talked about food and family and life and careers. Had some herbal teas.  And ran out of time before we knew it. I loved it. I love her.

I also find Sophie Van de Perre's work pretty lovely.

Mane Attraction

There are moments that I really wish I had gone to art school.

Looking at these illustrations, I wish desperately that I had the skills to put such lovely things onto paper.

Photo Art Love

Lately, I have found myself gravitating toward whimsical images and these photos really made me pause in admiration. I like that the subjects are not necessarily stunning or dramatic but you don't lose a sense of their femininity and energy. They've got me wanting to take my camera out on the town. And even turning the lens on my shabby little apartment!
